During the 5-day course, we will...

  • Model and use strategies to help with language acquisition (e.g., repetition, cognates, TPR, etc.).

  • Analyze the effectiveness of various strategies.

  • Learn to use translation and interpretation tools.

  • Explore family connection tools.

Founder

Sara Levitt

Sara Levitt is a veteran Spanish teacher who has a passion for working with teachers and administrators to better the educational experience for all learners. She studied Spanish at The Ohio State University, with study abroad experiences at the Universidad de Sevilla in Seville, Spain, and Cemanahuac Spanish School in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She is the founder of SJL Educational Consultants and teaches graduate courses at Walsh University, Ohio Dominican University, Muskingum University, and the University of Findlay. Described as funny, dynamic, and engaging, Sara creates a learning environment that benefits teachers with different levels of experience. Her Spanish for Educators courses are highly interactive and enjoyable. She likes to capitalize on the prior knowledge her students bring to the classroom and demonstrate language acquisition strategies that educators can use in multiple contexts.

  • What is the deadline to register?
